Our primary vet is licensed in several states and unavailable at times. Check the calendar for availability before calling.

For urgent situations where your pet is currently hospitalized elsewhere and you are looking to transfer to us for a surgical procedure, call (616) 232-6005. This number is not for general inquiries and it will not be answered on days the calendar is marked as “Unavailable”.

Michigan Pet Surgery and Dentistry Clinic was created to offer urgent/advanced surgery options for owners at a cost below many veterinary practices– and far below most ER prices. We know times are tough for many, and we know owners often forgo treatment or euthanize their animal simply due to cost.

We are not a full service veterinary hospital, and we are not here to diagnose your animal. We are here to do surgery/dentistry procedures on an out-patient basis once your pet has been diagnosed. We have the exact same equipment as most hospitals, with the exception of full body x-rays and ultrasound.

Who is not a good candidate for our services? Animals who have respiratory or cardiac problems, trauma, significant blood loss, clotting or platelet deficiencies, or are too unstable to move. We also do not offer orthopedic services related to broken bones (with the exception of amputations).

Our pricing includes everything your pet needs for the surgery. We want owners to know exactly what their costs will be. The procedure fee includes:  pre-op bloodwork (as needed), IV catheter and fluids (as warranted), take-home pain medication/antibiotics, etc. The only additional charge you could incur is if you want to send in biopsies after mass removal(s). The biopsy cost is $145 per mass.

After surgery you will be referred back to your veterinarian/ER for all post-op follow up and continuing care.

What To Expect

For routine, scheduled procedures, morning drop-off is 7:30-8:00am. Pickup is typically 4:30-5:30pm.

We will bring paperwork out to your car and you will be given consent forms to sign. We will process the rest of your payment, and then take your pet inside.

Payment methods we accept are: cash, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, and Care Credit. We do not accept checks.

All appointments have a $100 non-refundable deposit, which will be applied to your balance on the day of surgery, or forfeited if the appointment isn’t kept.
